How to create new Driver?
Step 1: Open Workforce Module
- Log in to your Atlassian TMS account.
- Access the Workforce module from the dashboard.
Step 2: Create a New Driver
- Within the Workforce module, click on the "Create" button to initiate the process of creating a new driver.
Step 3: Basic Information
- Fill in the driver's name.
- Choose the driver's status (Subcontractor or Employee).
- If you select Subcontractor, you'll be presented with two options: "Our Company" or "Owner Operator."
- If you choose "Owner Operator," you can specify the payment method as "To Driver" or "To Owner Operator."
- If you select Subcontractor, you'll be presented with two options: "Our Company" or "Owner Operator."
Note: Fields with a blue background are mandatory and must be filled in
Step 4: General Information
- In the "General" tab, you'll see a mandatory field for the Dispatcher.
- Other fields like "Current Truck," "Wage Type," and "Contract Category" will be automatically filled in later when you create a contract, user, and truck for this driver.
- Check the "Is Driver" checkbox as you are creating a driver.
Step 5: Work Information
- In the "Work Information" tab, you can provide contact information and specify the driver's position.
- Fill in all fields in the "Contact Information" section, except for "Fuel Cards," which will be filled automatically when assigning a fuel card to the driver.
- Specify the driver's "Working Hours" and "Job Title" in the "Position" section. This information will be automatically filled when you choose a job position.
Step 6: Private Information
- In the "Private Information" tab, provide details about the driver, including:
- Citizenship & Other Information
- Status
- Work Permit
- Contact Information
- Birth
- Education
- This tab does not have mandatory fields, except for the SSN (Social Security Number), which must be filled in.
Step 7: HR Settings
- In the "HR Settings" tab, configure the driver's "Status" by selecting an existing user or creating a new user for this driver.
- Set important dates, including the "Medical Exam Date" and other document expiration dates.
Step 8: Documents
- In the "Documents" tab, upload scans of all the driver's required documents.
Step 9: Creating a Contract (Important)
- To display the driver on the Dispatcher Board, you must create a contract for the driver.
- Fill in the fields in "Work Information" > "Position" > "Department," "Job Position," and "Driver Title."
- Use the "New Assignation" button to assign the driver to a truck, trailer, and dispatcher.
Step 10: Save Your Changes
- After entering all the required information for the driver, click the "Save" button to create the new driver in Atlassian TMS.
