How to put Load into TONU?

Introduction:
In the transportation management system (TMS), there might be instances where a load needs to be marked as TONU (Truck Ordered, Not Used). This guide explains how to put a load into the TONU stage.

Step 1: Set Trip and Load into InProgress Stage

  1. Start by navigating to the TMS application.

  2. Ensure that both the trip and the load are in the "InProgress" stage. This is the prerequisite for marking a load as TONU.

Step 2: Mark the Load as TONU

  1. In the "InProgress" stage, locate and click on the specific load that you want to mark as TONU.

  2. Within the load details, look for the "Mark as TONU" button. Click on this button to initiate the TONU process.

Step 3: Fill in TONU Details

  1. After clicking the "Mark as TONU" button, a popup window will appear. Here, you should provide the following details:

    • TONU Rate: Enter the appropriate TONU rate.

    • Upload RC with TONU: If required, upload any necessary documents related to TONU.

    • Mark the Trip as TONU: Check the box if the associated trip should also be marked as TONU.

  2. After filling in the necessary information, click the "Yes" or similar button to confirm and proceed.

Step 4: Load and Trip in TONU Stage

  1. After confirming the TONU action, the load will be moved to the TONU stage.

  2. If you opted to mark the trip as TONU as well, the trip will also be in the TONU stage.

Conclusion: By following these steps, you can successfully mark a load as TONU in your TMS. This is a valuable feature when a load is booked but not used, and it ensures that the load and associated trip are accurately tracked and recorded as TONU.
